Amidst one of the toughest operating environments in industry history, publicly-traded trucking companies have tightened the reins of their accounts receivable as evidenced by the fact that the DSO for the industry dropped by over five days, according to the latest figures compiled for the Credit Standards Index (CSI).  Heartland Express remains the undisputed leader in credit standards for the trucking industry as well as one of the highest ranking companies in the entire CSI.
