Sovereign Benchmarks

The CreditPulse sovereign benchmarks are annually revised benchmarks for nations with at least three companies included in the Credit Standards Index (CSI) based on the annual averages for the companies in those countries.  Most companies used for benchmarking in each nation have an ADR listing on either the New York Stock Exchange or Nasdaq.

The 2009 sovereign benchmarks for 29 countries and two overseas territories in Europe, Asia, and the Americas are provided below:
